– Think Charade or North by Northwest + Mission Impossible
– James Mangold is one of my favorite modern directors!
– This feels like a throwback kind of movie
– Definitely a movie that’s aware of itself and has fun with the clichés of the genre
– The scene where Roy and June are talking in the car, then the pan out to show them in a car being towed in the 18 wheeler that was shown a few seconds prior 😂
– Great cast. Cruise and Diaz are wonderful but so are Paul Dano, Peter Saarsgard, Gal Godat, and Viola Davis
– Fun soundtrack! First The Scorpions, now Hall and Oates!
– The note says Alps, Train
– Action comedy IMO is a hard genre to truly get right. So far, this movie is accomplishing that
– Maybe nothing groundbreaking, but a fun pastiche of the genre
– Love the ending! And I love callbacks 😂
